Chester, CA: Small town near Lake Almanor, quaint shops, motels. Friendly small town has no stop lights; Restaurants, art galleries, art events, near Mt. Lassen. Feather River runs through town and park.
Lake Almanor, CA: Good water levels and free boat launches. Resorts, dining, camping, lodging along the lake. Water ski, boat, swim, fish and play at Lake Almanor. West Shore offers less traffic and over 12 miles of paved trails, (most of trail runs along lakefront)
